Abstract

Chili anthracnose caused by Colletotrichum capsici is one of the most devastating diseases that deter chili production in Southern Ethiopia. This study was conducted in 2014 with the aim to judiciously manage Colletotrichum capsici causing anthracnose of Chili. Six fungicides, namely, Benomyl, Tilt-250 EC, Vitavax-200, Rovral 50 WP, Dithane M-45 and Ridomil at concentration of 150, 250 and 300 ppm; and leaf extracts of garlic, ginger, onion and neem at three different concentrations (15%, 10% and 5%) were evaluated against the radial growth and mycelial dry weight of Colletotrichum capsici.
