Abstract

The aim of this research was to identify the key operations management issues facing the introduction of e-procurement system in the finance department of a Hospital in the UK. In 2013, the UK Health Secretary of State published "Better Procurement Better Value Better Care", which initiated a new efficiency scheme which would stabilise the spending budget of Hospitals in the UK with a view of spending no more than they would currently do by the end of 2015/16.
