Labour Practices in Ghana - A Case Study of the Ghana Water Company Limited

Abstract

This study assesses Labour Practices in Ghana from the context of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL). A total of 216 workers of Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) were sampled for the study. Questionnaire and interview were used to solicit information from the respondents. Out of the 206 questionnaires administered, 149 responded in addition to 5 management staff who were interviewed, giving the total of 154 respondents for the study. The study revealed that, workers of Ghana Water Company Limited belong to Labour Unions. It was further revealed that most of the workers at the Ghana Water Company Limited belong to the Public Utility Workers
